Information About Musto Sailing, Equestrian and Shooting Clothing
In 1965 Musto was founded by Keith Musto a 1964 Olympic silver medalist in the Flying Dutchman class. As an engineer by trade Keith Musto had a goal to keep athletes warm, dry and comfortable while out on the water. Almost 45 years later and awards for design excellence from the Duke of Edinburgh, Musto has established the standard in technical sailing across the board from dinghy racing where it all started to ocean yacht racing.
In 2009 Musto teamed up with Skandia Team GBR to further design and develop it's technical sailing clothing range for over 70 British competitive sailors until 2013.
In 1987 Musto launched a Shooting clothing range on the back of 22 years of sailing pedigree and in the same year recieved an award for design excellence from the Duke of Edinburgh. In 1999 Musto began to work closely with the world renowned West London shooting school to further develop It's shooting range and in more recent years Musto have teamed up with the Clay Pigeon Shooting Association who use Musto for shooting attire for it's Tutor's.
The equestrian clothing and accessories range was launched in 1987 and was soon followed by the Musto Snugs range in 1988, in 2004 we saw William Fox-Pitt win Team Silver at the Athens Olympics wearing Musto. Over the years the country clothing side of the brand has grown and we see new and innovative equestrian clothing from Musto every year. With the use of a 3 layer system and the development of more equestrian products all the time Musto has a truly wonderful selection suitable for everyone.
